The Kallo belt
We started KALLO with a simple belief, that one belt should be able to do more, not get replaced by another. It began with my grandfather, who spent a lifetime working leather by hand in Slovenia, and it led us to a mechanism we spent years getting right: a magnetic system that lets a single belt change its look in seconds, no tools required. Today it's the same belief, just engineered further. Designed in Slovenia.
One bloodline. One mission.
This is the table it all comes back to. My grandfather stood at one like it for most of his life. Before KALLO, we tried to build a belt of our own and we cut corners he never would have: material that wasn't real leather, one fixed design, no room to adjust. Our customers felt every one of those shortcuts, and so did we.
So we went back to the table. Real leather. A mechanism built to last, not just to sell. His name isn't on KALLO, but his standard is.
The materials
A belt that changes its look still has to earn its place on you every day. That starts with what it's made from.
Full-grain leather
Genuine cowhide, not coated fabric wearing a leather label. It softens with wear instead of cracking, and the ratchet track adjusts by the half-centimeter, so it fits without stretching out or leaving a row of old holes behind.
Aluminium plate
Matte aluminium, signed with the KALLO mark. The face lifts off the buckle with a thumb and clicks back on. Change it for the evening, or when a scratch finally lands, without touching the leather.
5Cr15MoV knife steel
The blade that disappears in your belt is made from 5Cr15MoV, real knife steel, not the 3Cr13 everyone else uses. Strong magnets lock it in place.
